EDITOR'S NOTE: In an election story that appeared in the Sunday Dispatch on
Sunday, comments were incorrectly attributed to Democratic Exeter Borough
Council candidate Daniel DeRoberto. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 DeRoberto did not make any statements to the Dispatch. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The corrected portion of the story dealing with Exeter Borough follows. We
regret the error. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In the Exeter mayoral race, perennial Republican candidate Rudolph Pace is
not expected to unseat popular incumbent Mayor Democrat Joseph Coyne in the
highly Democratic town. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Three seats are open on Exeter Borough Council. Two incumbent Democrats,
Eugene Pisano and Joseph Esposito, are running, so there will be at least one
new council member elected Tuesday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Pisano is teamed with Daniel DeRoberto, a former councilman, and Esposito
is running an independent campaign. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Pace, the mayoral candidate is also on the council ballot, as are
Republicans George Stoss and Joe Pace, who is no relation to Rudolph Pace. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Joe Pace said he would like to see a ``professional, full-time police
force. If it's a financial issue, we can cut back somewhere else.'' &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Police Department is the biggest part of the budget and Exeter's
complement of four full-time police officers is in line with other boroughs in
the area. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The other council candidates did not return calls or could not be reached
for comment. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
