The Wyoming Valley Conference released its football schedule for the 2002
season Thursday afternoon. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A complete week-by-week schedule can be found on Page 4B. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The season opens Friday, Aug. 31, with eight games: Abington Heights at
Hazleton Area, Tunkhannock at Williamsport, Scranton at Wyoming Valley West,
Valley View at Pittston Area, Wallenpaupack at Meyers, Bishop O'Reilly at Old
Forge, Reading Central Catholic at Northwest Area, and H.D. Woodson
(Washington, D.C.) at Berwick. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 There are six games the following day: Coughlin at Dallas, Wyoming Area at
Crestwood, Nanticoke at Lake-Lehman, Bishop Hoban at Hanover Area, Bishop
Hafey at Bishop O'Hara, and Scranton Prep at GAR. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Neither Bishop Hafey nor Northwest Area could secure a game with Milton
Hershey in Week 10 and will play each other. The schools also will play Week
3. Crestwood will play at Pocono Mountain East in Week 11 if neither team
makes the postseason. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
