We are sitting on an abundant supply of natural gas right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Yet some people, for whatever reason, don&#8217;t want to see this gas get to market to lessen our dependence on foreign countries that are not so friendly to us, to lower our own energy costs and to create jobs right here in the region.You don&#8217;t have to look any further than a study recently produced by the Pennsylvania State University to see this impact. In the study, they found that approval of the Atlantic Sunrise pipeline could support approximately 8,000 jobs and add $870 million in economic value to the regional economy.Once completed, the project could continue to provide $1.9 million annually and support many jobs.To bring energy, i.e. natural gas, to our homes to allow us to cook and heat, we need pipeline infrastructure. It is the safest and most environmentally friendly way to get our resources back to us to use in a cheap and effective manner.Don&#8217;t listen to the false arguments; see for yourself what is on the horizon. Do we want to keep relying on other countries to supply our energy?If you want to focus on American infrastructure that will help the American economy, then you want to support our own energy infrastructure and also say no to the false arguments being batted around by a few.Alan LispiScranton
