Nanticoke man facing charges in Duryea, Scranton for wrecking stolen vehicle

DURYEA — Borough police charged Thomas C. Booth, 55, after a girl reported he exposed himself to her twice several years ago.

Booth, of William Street, Pittston, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and a single count of corruption of minors after the girl was questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children’s Advocacy Center in January, according to court records.

During the interview, the girl claimed she was inside a relative’s residence on Adams Street with a younger female cousin when Booth told them to stand in the corner. As they stood in the corner, the girl claimed Booth pulled down his pants and underwear exposing himself to them, court records say.

She allegedly said during the interview Booth did not say a word and stood there for a while before he pulled his pants up.

In the second alleged incident, police said the girl in the interview said Booth exposed himself while sitting on a couch watching television.

Booth is not related to the girl.

Police questioned Booth’s ex-girlfriend who said their relationship ended prior to December 2017. While they were dating, she said Booth would be around and play with children inside the residence. She also noted Booth watched pornography but never around children, and she never became aware or seen Booth acting inappropriately around children, the complaint says.

Booth was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz in Pittston and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

Duryea police charged Pittston man with exposing himself to girl
