SWOYERSVILLE &#8212; A Luzerne man was arraigned this morning in connection with a Jan. 3 crash that left one man dead.John Charles Payne, 55, of Luzerne, turned himself in and was arraigned on charges of vehicular homicide, two counts of DUI and one summary charge each of reckless driving, careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.Payne was arraigned on those charges before Magisterial District Judge David Barilla, who set bail at $50,000 straight.Police allege that Payne was the driver of a pickup truck that crashed around 3 a.m. on Jan. 3. That crash resulted in Kevin Sendrick, 57, of Swoyersville being pronounced dead at the scene.
