Police: Children exposed to uncapped needles at overdose scene

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; City police arrested three people after a domestic disturbance that involved one of the alleged participants discharging a firearm on Conyngham Avenue.
				Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Conyngham Avenue, finding a large number of people outside just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
				Officers were told Devonte D. Parham, 27, of Dana Street, Wilkes-Barre, fired a shot in the direction of a commercial building and fled the scene in a Nissan, according to court records.
				Parham was stopped by police driving the vehicle on Fuller Lane in Wilkes-Barre.
				Police allege they found a loaded magazine in a driver&rsquo;s side door compartment and a 9mm handgun in the trunk.
				No injuries were reported.
				Police in court records say Parham discharged the firearm while standing next to children outside the residence.
				Prior to the gunshot, police allege Parham and his girlfriend, Susan Henry, arrived at the residence to visit her mother, Christina Wickham.
				Wickham was on Facebook communicating with Joshua Gyle, 37, who for unknown reasons became upset and showed up at the residence with his wife, Melissa Gyle, age unknown.
				Joshua Gyle fought with Parham as Henry, while holding a 2-year-old girl, attempted to break up the fight. Melissa Gyle began punching Henry while she was holding the toddler, court records say.
				Parham managed to break free from Joshua Gyle, who then turned and began choking Henry. Parham removed a firearm from his waist band and aimed it at Joshua Gyle, according to court records.
				Parham exited the residence and discharged a round before fleeing in the Nissan, court records say.
				Police charged Parham with illegal possession of a firearm, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He was arraigned by District Judge Brian Tupper in Kingston Township and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
				Joshua Gyle was charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment. He was jailed for lack of $25,000 bail.
				Melissa Gyle was charged with simple assault and harassment, and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
