 John W. Williams Jr., 83, of Mechanicsburg, went to be with the Lord on
Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Kingston, Pa., a son of the late John W. Sr.
and Josephine (Engle) Williams. He retired as Inventory Parts Manager from the
Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, after 21 years of service. He
was formerly employed as an accountant with American Car &amp; Foundry in Berwick,
Pa. He was a graduate of Wilkes College and an Army Air Corps Veteran of World
War II. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, S~hiremanstown, for 41 years
where he was the church Financial Secretary for 25 years, a Sunday School
Teacher and taught the Adventurers Club with the church. After his formal
retirement, John was the bookkeeper for the Children's Family Center at
Messiah Village and was a member of AARP #3238. A brother, Charles E.
Williams, preceded him in death. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, Henrietta Louise Comstedt Williams; two daughters,
Barbara J. Hiester, Mechanicsburg; Beverly L. Hiester, New Cumberland; five
grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Malpezzi Funeral Home,
Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Cass F. Santos Jr. officiating. Burial will be in
Mechanicsburg Cemetery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 201
W. Main St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
