WYOMING &mdash; Today and Sunday, Gerrity&rsquo;s Supermarkets and Gerrity&rsquo;s Ace Hardware are partnering with a local physician to offer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible employees and their immediate family members.
				According to a news release from the owners of Gerrity&rsquo;s, the locally owned supermarket and hardware chain will be administering as many as 400 doses of the vaccine.
				The Fasula family, owners of Gerrity&rsquo;s, said anyone who has not received the vaccine and is eligible will have the opportunity to receive the vaccine.
				&ldquo;At this time, there are still several time slots available , so it appears every member of our team who is eligible will be able to get it,&rdquo;: said Joe Fasula, co-owner of Gerrity&rsquo;s. &ldquo;I have spoken to many employees who already received the vaccine and the ones who haven&rsquo;t are thrilled to have this opportunity.&rdquo;
				Fasula said the shots will be administered at the Gerrity&rsquo;s on Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on both days. He said an email was sent to all employees on Friday, March 12, to notify them of the event.
				The vaccines are restricted to people who qualify under Phase 1A of the Pennsylvania Department of Health vaccine guidelines. This includes people over the age of 65 and those with certain health conditions.
				Fasula said that the state has said that the Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be made available to all supermarket em0ployees in early April. He said Gerrity&rsquo;s is in the process of licensing both of their pharmacy locations in order to administer the vaccine to the remaining members. Fasula said all vaccines will be provided at no cost to employees.
