I would like to warn you ladies about your purses. About two years ago, I had mine stolen from my shopping cart. I had it where you sit a child. I had a large black purse and it was pretty heavy. 
I was busy looking in the cosmetic department, reaching for the eyebrow pencils and looking at the colors. When I picked out what I wanted, I went to put it in the cart but my purse was gone. Mind you, the cart was at my side all the time. I immediately reported it. 
A cop was called in. I had to give him all the information. They took me in a little room and we watched me on a monitor in every department I went to. You could see the large black bag sitting in the cart while I was looking at the blouses and other things, but when I came to the cosmetic department, you could only see the front of the cart not my purse. 
I lost $500 in cash. I had just cashed my Social Security check. I lost all my restaurant gift certificates I had received from my grandchildren, my Social Security card, my driver&rsquo;s and ownership cards and all my credit cards. The crooks used my MasterCard to buy $17.50 worth of gas at the Turkey Hill in Wilkes-Barre right after they took the purse. I was lucky it wasn&rsquo;t more. 
I had my grandson, Shawn Maslousky, call every place I had credit cards to stop all purchases. I had many pictures of my family and friends also taken and a lot more. I never got the purse back.
I had a lawyer write a letter to the store&rsquo;s executives but they wouldn&rsquo;t reimburse me for anything. They said they were sorry and couldn&rsquo;t do anything for me. 
I had the lawyer write about a suggestion I thought of after my purse was stolen. It was to put a sign up where you pick up the carts saying, &ldquo;Buckle Up Your Purse.&rdquo; There&rsquo;s a strap and buckle on every cart where you buckle up a child. 
The store wouldn&rsquo;t do it, so that&rsquo;s why I&rsquo;m writing now. Please, ladies, buckle up your pocket books. It only takes one second to snap that buckle to your purse.
