Some of the sexiest people in NEPA tell us what they find attractive, hot and downright sexy



Looking back, it seems like the catch phrase of 2006 would probably be something involving the term &ldquo;sexyback.&rdquo; As in, &ldquo;(insert your name here) is bringing sexyback.&rdquo; It might make one wonder if Justin Timberlake knew what a monster he was going to create with his comeback smash hit. One might also ponder whether we should thank him or stone him. 
But in humming the song, it does make us here at the Weekender question what exactly it is that makes someone sexy. 
So much emphasis is put on looks - which is obviously the first thing someone sees in another person - but sexiness, like beauty, often goes much deeper than that.
Isn&rsquo;t personality and a great sense of humor sexy? That knack for knowing just what to say to make someone else laugh and smile? That is pretty damn sexy. 
How about the way someone carries themselves? Confidently without being cocky or with poise and quiet assuredness that makes you take another look? 
Or maybe sexy is singing into a microphone or pounding the drums shirtless in front of a crowd of fans at a local club? 
Maybe it is delivering hard local news with grace and style and a million watt smile?
Or maybe sexy is helping others look and feel their sexiest with a makeover or a massage? 
Is sexy the power of an attorney? Or is it being a well-dressed happily married father of three who is still able to throw the biggest New Year&rsquo;s Eve bash in the valley? 
Maybe it is having the total package &ndash; looks, personality and the Weekender 2006 Model of the Year tiara to prove it?
Or maybe sexy is standing up for what you believe in, time and again, no matter the consequences, even on national television - and looking damn good while doing it.
Sexy, to us, is all of these things and so, without further ado, we give you the Weekender&rsquo;s pick for the 2006 Sexiest People in NEPA. 
And yes, they all brought sexyback in their own sexy way.

What do you find sexy in someone? Eyes and smile, but more so than anything, personality. If he&rsquo;s a gentleman, like opens the door and lets you order first, that kind of thing. I&rsquo;m old fashioned like that. 

What is NOT sexy? Selfishness and arrogance are the big ones. 

What makes you feel sexy? My fianc&#233;, Tom, makes me feel sexy. The way he looks at me - that makes me feel good about myself, he always finds a way to make me feel beautiful. 

Sexy music? Anything with Sinatra or Michael Buble 

Who do you find sexy, locally or famous? My fianc&#233;, definitely, and Matthew McConaughey

What do you find sexy in someone? A guy with a nice smile, good hygiene, a great personality and he has to know how to treat a lady. If he&rsquo;s wearing sweats and a beater, that&rsquo;s a plus

What is NOT sexy? Where to start? Bad breath and body odor. I guess bad hygiene, that&rsquo;s my ultimate turn off. 

What makes you feel sexy? I guess my answer to this one is wine &hellip; who doesn&rsquo;t feel sexy after a few glasses?

Sexy music? I immediately have an answer for this one: &ldquo;Closer&rdquo; by Nine Inch Nails. If you come out to see Crush, you know this is my sexy song.

Who do you find sexy, locally or famous? Locally, I&rsquo;ll have a list of names [laughs] but famous, Robert DeNiro is my number one favorite. And number two is Dave Draiman of Disturbed.

What do you find sexy in someone? Without a doubt is laughter, that is absolutely the first thing that gets my attention, smile, humbleness, somebody that&rsquo;s down to earth

What is NOT sexy? I think vanity, when they find themselves too sexy or they come before everyone else. You can see that through a personality with a first impression and that&rsquo;s by far a turn off.

What makes you feel sexy? Oh my god [laughs] I never look at myself that way. My husband does and he tells me that and he makes me feel sexy. I think that affirmation alone is enough that I don&rsquo;t have to do other things. 

Sexy music? I love the music and lyrics of Jon Secada; I love the passion and spirituality of Ricky Martin. I like people that have passion for what they do. I love music that moves my heart. 

Who do you find sexy, locally or famous? Very easy - my husband Larry. To be married so many years and to work together, play together and do everything together and still have a strong marriage, that means a lot.

What do you find sexy in someone? When people are blatantly honest. I don&rsquo;t like when people have inhibitions of what they really are and &ldquo;play the game.&rdquo; I think it&rsquo;s better when people are just flat-out honest and straight to the point and you know who somebody is and you don&rsquo;t have to try and feel them out. Being a straight shooter is really the best thing.

What is NOT sexy? Not sexy is when people wear things that they shouldn&rsquo;t wear and have attitudes about it, like very for themselves, arrogant and pompous. I&rsquo;m not the kind of person to rip on someone&rsquo;s physical beauty but when people try to flaunt something that they&rsquo;re not and they just have a major chip on their shoulder all the time. 

What makes you feel sexy? I don&rsquo;t feel sexy, that&rsquo;s the thing. I don&rsquo;t think I&rsquo;m a sexy person by any means, I think that I am what I am. I just have an approach that you can take it or leave it but I like mutual respect. 

Sexy music? Depeche Mode. Any song like &ldquo;Stripped&rdquo; or &ldquo;Enjoy the Silence,&rdquo; stuff like that. It&rsquo;s just really moody music.

Who do you find sexy, locally or famous? My wife is a very sexy girl and she obviously puts up with my shit [laughs], Salma Hayek, she&rsquo;s got great charisma, she&rsquo;s got great looks and also very dark image.

What do you find sexy in someone? How they carry themselves. I have all kinds of types, from the librarian look all the way to the Goth look; it just depends on how you carry yourself. Personality is key with me. Hardworking, because if you&rsquo;re not hardworking, you&rsquo;ll never be able to put up with my schedule. 

What is NOT sexy? Being completely self-centered and not very intelligent 

What makes you feel sexy? Bringing joy to people, being on stage makes me feel sexy, making people forget about their day when they come see the band play. Lighting, nice mood lighting makes me feel sexy. 

Sexy music? I kinda like something R&amp;B, but with a female singer, like Christina Aguilera&rsquo;s new stuff. A good female singer with a nice beat to it. And Frank Sinatra, that&rsquo;s very sexy. 

Who do you find sexy, locally or famous? My number one would be Christina Aguilera, she&rsquo;s damn sexy, but she&rsquo;s very talented too and that draws me in. I think any female in a rock band or heavier is always very sexy, chick drummers &hellip; maybe it&rsquo;s a drum thing, but chick drummers? Very cool.
