Nanticoke police charge nurse with assaulting patient at nursing home

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; City police issued a public alert on their Facebook page Tuesday indicating they are searching for a firearm after a man&rsquo;s arrest.
				Police did not release the man&rsquo;s name or when he was arrested.
				According to the social media post, police responded to Ross Street near Riverside Drive on a report a man was sleeping inside someone&rsquo;s vehicle. Police said the man fled the area on foot but was arrested near New Mallory Place.
				The man was in possession of a loaded 9mm pistol, police said.
				Police said they searched the area for the firearm and warned the public to call 911 or Officer Dan Duffy at 570-208-4118 if anyone locates the weapon or has information about the incident. Police warn not to touch the firearm if found.
				A highlighted map was released by police of where they believe the firearm was discarded.
				Police said the man was in possession of a blue blanket that may have been stolen.
