&lsquo;Let&rsquo;s Talk Food&rsquo; is one of several workshops being offered at &lsquo;Healthy Children, Healthy Futures,&rsquo; a daylong conference on Oct. 1&#8194;1 that is designed to help educators, health care professionals, coaches, youth advisers and workers, dietitians, nutritionists and parents ensure that children grow up to be healthy adults. A nationally-known expert on childhood obesity is among the presenters. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Genetti Hotel and Convention Center in Wilkes-Barre. The cost is $ 65 per person or $50 per person for teams of three or more. Teachers can earn Act 48 credits and registered dietitians and dietetic technicians can earn CEU credits.
