Wilkes-Barre has buyer for field, will pay above asking price

Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown said the city has an agreement with Alba Properties LLC to buy the Morgan B. Williams property at the intersection of Scott Street and North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. The company plans to invest $2.5 million in developing the site for a granite sales business and cabinetry warehouse and showroom.
