The annual Wyoming Hose Company #1 Fire Fund Drive for 2009 is currently underway. Due to the rising cost of equipment and maintenance of the building and insurance, these donations make it essential to the continual operation of the Wyoming Hose Company #1. In addition to the fund drive, the fire company rents out its hall to assist with additional costs. To rent the hall, call 693-1371. 
Drama Parents
The WA Drama Club Parents will meet this Wednesday, January 28, at 7 p.m. at the Secondary Center. Plans for the upcoming "Pasta Dinner and Meatball Music" will be finalized. This event will take place Sunday, February 8, at the Secondary Center Cafeteria. 
Shoemaker Chapel
The Shoemaker United Methodist Memorial Chapel would like to advise members that the Sunday Service schedule has been changed. Services on Sunday&rsquo;s will now be at 9:30 a.m.
Reunion Committee
Word was received recently that Dante Landucci, Class of 1935 WWHS, had passed away on December 31. He was buried in Hershey, PA on January 5. He is survived by his wife, the former Elide Menicheschi, two sons, Fred and Thomas, five grandchildren and a sister, Wanda Chapman, Class of 1936 WWHS, of Kilgore, Tx. As a former West Wyoming resident, he always remembered his classmates and friends and his hometown. Dante had been in ill health and did not attend the All Class Reunion in 2005.
Wyoming Library
The Wyoming Free Library will hold a movie day on Saturday January 31, featuring the film &ldquo;Igor&rdquo; at noon. Friday Night will be held January 30 from 6 p.m. - 8. People can contact the Wyoming Free Library at 693-1364 for more information or to register.
Little League
Wyoming/ West Wyoming Little League sign ups on the following dates: January 28 6-8 pm and February 4, 6-8pm. All sign ups will be at the West Wyoming Borough Hall. New registrants must provide a birth certificate. All registrants must provide proof of residence. Boys and Girls must be the age of 5 before May 1, 2009. Registration fees are $85 per player or $105 per family for senior/ junior league; $60 per player or $85 per family for players in major/minor/t-ball league. A $20 late fee will be assessed for sign ups after February 11. 
Basketball Parents
The Wyoming Area Parent&rsquo;s Association for Boys Basketball is helping host several events during the next four home games. The home game on January 30 vs Dallas is &ldquo;Elementary Night&rdquo;, where children in the boys basketball program from grades 1 through 6 will be recognized before the varsity game. Please be there by 6:30 p.m. Wear your elementary school basketball shirt and you will get in free. 
The February 6 home game against Holy Redeemer is Senior Parents Night. Seniors and their parents will be honored prior to the varsity game. Also, the February 6 game vs Holy Redeemer is a &ldquo;White Out.&rdquo; All Warrior fans are encouraged to wear white to the game, and bring small towels to wave at the game. This event was postponed from earlier in the season due to inclement weather. The Parent&rsquo; 
Wyoming Notes
The 2009 garbage stickers are on sale at the Wyoming Borough office. The new price for stickers is $180 with the option of paying in half year increments at $90. Seniors 62 and older will receive a discount of $10. Residents can mail a check or money order made payable to Wyoming Borough to 277 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming Pa 18644, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. 
Residents need to purchase the sticker before January 31, 2009 to avoid any additional fees.
Residents are reminded not to throw, plow, blow or brush snow into the streets.
