Children At Holy Trinity Receive Communion

The Greater Pittston YMCA hosted graduation this week for its pre-kindergarten class.
The ceremony was held Wednesday morning in the YMCA gymnasium. Twenty-four children received diplomas. About 100 family members attended the graduation.
&ldquo;We marched in to a children&rsquo;s version of &lsquo;Pomp and Circumstance,&rsquo;&rdquo; said Marta Jones, teacher. 
The ceremony opened with Pledge of Allegiance and a salute to the Stars and Stripes. Childcare Director Ronide Louis-Hypolite passed out diplomas and children entertained parents with a musical rendition of the &ldquo;YMCA&rdquo; song. Mothers in the audience were given flowers donated by Robyn Hill Florist. 
&ldquo;The kids practiced for a half an hour every day to learn the songs,&rdquo; said Louis-Hypolite.
The graduation was followed by a picnic at McDade Park for parents and graduates. 
&ldquo;We had fun,&rdquo; said Jones. &ldquo;The kids always have fun no matter where they go.&rdquo; 
The pre-kindergarten class is taught by Jones, Katie Lampman, Michelle Dudley, and Michele Dillon. The class is a kindergarten readiness program and introduces children to letters and numbers. Children also have a chance to swim and play in the organization&rsquo;s gymnasium during the school day. Graduates include: Sarah Gunderson, Andrew Kasisky, Eden Koprowski, Megan Lasher, Giovanna Limongelli, Joseph O&rsquo;Malley, Jaden Pepe, Anthony Policare, Stephen Simko, Ryan Barletta, April Best, Emily Bryan, Dino Domiano, Cole Ferranti, Alyssa Gustitus, Aaron Hall, Tyler Lee, Cydney McCall, Julio Perez, Arianna Pisano, Sydney Ruskey, Zoe Scott, Hunter Sohns, and Sage Weidlich.
