BUCK TWP. — A Bear Creek man was killed and two others seriously injured after a head-on crash on State Route 115 early Saturday morning, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Tyler Joseph Cowman, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene by Luzerne County Deputy Coroner Joseph Jacobs after a two-car collision that occurred around 3:40 a.m. on Saturday morning approximately half a mile north of Buck River Road.

According to a release from the Wilkes-Barre barracks of the state police, investigators determined that Cowman was the operator of a vehicle heading south on SR 115 when he lost control of his vehicle.

The car traveled into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into the second vehicle.

Alexis Torres, 35, and Christian Gonzalez, 28, both of North Bergen, New Jersey were identified as the operator and passenger of the second vehicle, respectively.

Both were transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley for medical treatment after sustaining serious injuries. No more is known about their condition at this time.
