PLAINS TWP. &#8212; Chase Nowak threw a three-hit shutout after driving in the game&#8217;s only run as Coughlin held off Tunkhannock 1-0 on Tuesday in WVC baseball play.Brandon Butry doubled in the bottom of the first and came home on Nowak&#8217;s single. The Crusaders sophomore made it stand up on the mound, striking out five. Butry and Nowak had two hits apiece for Coughlin (1-5 WVC).Cody Brown also went the distance for the Tigers (3-3), striking out seven.Northwest 7, Wyoming Seminary 5The Rangers (4-2) rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good against the Blue Knights.Tyler Harrison finished 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI.
