Fund set up to aid family devastated by fire

First Posted: 2/19/2014 SCRANTON &#8212; Lake-Lehman held West Scranton to just 12 points over the first 21 minutes Wednesday night on the way to a comfortable 48-29 road victory in the first round of the District 2 Class 3A boys basketball tournament.
&#8220;I think we did a great job defensively,&#8221; Lake-Lehman coach Brian Cutter said.
The Black Knights forced the Invaders away from the basket and West missed its first 10 attempts from three-point range as Lake-Lehman took a 19-8 lead in the last two minutes of the first half.
Adam Dizbon scored in the closing seconds of the first half then had five of the points when the Black Knights added the first eight of the second half to blow the game open 29-12.
Pete Borum finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots for Lake-Lehman. Dizbon added 15 points and four steals while Cody Paraschak had 13 rebounds.
The Black Knights (12-11) held the Invaders to 23.4 percent shooting to advance into Friday&#8217;s quarterfinals against top-seeded Abington Heights (22-1).
