First Posted: 1/21/2014 Inclement weather postponed the Wyoming Valley Conference schedule on Tuesday.
Four boys basketball games have been rescheduled for 7:15 p.m. today: Dallas at Wyoming Valley West; GAR at Holy Redeemer; Lake-Lehman at Meyers; and Pittston Area at Coughlin.
Other boys games include: Wyoming Seminary at Northwest will be Jan. 27. Hanover Area at Nanticoke, MMI Prep at Wyoming Area and Tunkhannock at Crestwood are all Jan. 29. Hazleton Area at Berwick was moved to Jan. 30.
Berwick&#8217;s bowling and rifle teams moved their events to Jan. 28 (bowling home against Milton, rifle home to Southern Lehigh).
Four swim meets involving local teams were also postponed. Dallas is at Wyoming Seminary on Jan. 27, and Tunkhannock will swim at Elk Lake on Feb. 7. Hazleton Area at Lake-Lehman and Hanover Area at Wyoming Valley West are pending.
In college sports, Wilkes&#8217; wrestling match at East Stroudsburg was canceled.

King&#8217;s Hammonds repeats as POW
For the second straight week, King&#8217;s College senior forward Kyle Hammonds has been named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week.
King&#8217;s handed DeSales its first league loss of the season with a 77-72 triumph on Wednesday. Hammonds scored a team-high 21 points with seven rebounds as the Monarchs snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Bulldogs and won at DeSales&#8217; Billera Hall for the first time since March 1, 2008.
In a 74-61 win over Eastern on Saturday, Hammonds followed up with 30 points, four rebounds, and two steals as King&#8217;s evened its Freedom Conference record at 2-2.
COLLEGE WOMEN&#8217;S TRACK AND FIELD
MU&#8217;s Ward takes weekly honor
Misericordia&#8217;s Ashlee Ward, a Meyers grad, has been named the MAC Women&#8217;s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week.
Ward won the high jump at the Susquehanna Orange & Maroon Classic with a school-record leap of 1.67m. The mark met the ECAC qualifying standard and is an NCAA Division III top-5 mark for the season.
She added a fifth-place finish in the shot put (10.74m).
GIRLS SWIMMING
Pittston Area 137, Dunmore 39
Pittston Area&#8217;s Irene Magdon won two individual events and was apart of the winning 200 medley relay team in Monday&#8217;s WVC Division 3 win. Kassidy Roche picked up a win in the 200 IM. Sierra Williams had a 195.25 in diving. 
Katrina Dillon (500 free), Erin Senese (100 back), and Anna McDermott (100 breast) all recorded wins for the Patriots.
