&#8226; Bill &#8220;Danger&#8221; Robinson: Legalize it across the board. (I know; it&#8217;s not going to happen here. But it should. It&#8217;ll happen in 30 other states before Pennsylvania jumps on the end of the bandwagon and misses out on most of the revenue.)
&#8226; ollinstonedzero: I support the legalization of medical marijuana in Pennsylvania, and let me assure you my vote for governor will reflect it. Since when is it up to a politician to decide what treatment is good for me? Only my doctor and I can decide that. We, the terminally ill, have the right to choose what form of medication is best for us. I will choose the natural non-toxic medication found in marijuana over toxic chemo, addictive pills, etc., every time! The Lehigh Valley is my home; I should not have to move to another state to find a medication that works for me.

I heavily believe marijuana is useful for those with major medical issues. However, most people who are for it don&#8217;t even have medical issues. What a joke !
&#8226; JustPlain Disgusted: I don&#8217;t really care about this subject one way or the other. But I&#8217;d like to know just how weed helps medically. Also, I have a problem with taking any kind of smoke into one&#8217;s lungs &#8230; can&#8217;t be a good thing.
&#8226; Lesa: I have a son with severe autism who sometimes has violent meltdowns that resemble seizures. I have met some online friends who live in California, and medical marijuana has been nothing short of a miracle. Please give this a chance to help those who otherwise are prescribed a cocktail of drugs that are basically dangerous and a crap shoot whether or not they will work. I am not saying it will be the magic bullet, but it should be an option to try rather than be a criminal charge. Smoking marijuana is only one of many ways it could be administered. If it is legal in some states and helping people, why should it be criminal in other states?
&#8226; Theresa Collins: This is great! Marijuana is indeed a medicine. Medical marijuana is legal in almost 20 states, plus the District of Columbia. It is a shame that we allow our sick children and terminally ill adults to suffer. It is not right that doctors can prescribe pharmaceutical medications left and right for almost any ailment and we know that these cause ridiculous side effects, yet cancer patients who smoke a joint are considered criminals in our state. Vote John Hanger for governor if you want medicinal and legal cannabis in Pennsylvania!

It isn&#8217;t addictive. You can become dependent on it. You can also become dependent on shoes, cake, shopping, etc.
There is no withdrawal from pot, no hangover, etc. Every day they are finding more medical uses for pot. Chronic pain patients will not need to become physically addicted to damaging opioid pain pills. Those damage your kidneys and liver. For cancer patients, it allows them to eat and fight pain. Tourette&#8217;s patients can be free of painful and damaging tics.
Having pot illegal feeds the prison-industrial complex. It makes taxes rise to pay for people imprisoned on nonviolent drug charges. Why ruin a person&#8217;s life for pot?
No, people won&#8217;t be high all the time. Is everybody drunk? Just educate yourself.
&#8226; if64: Why is it that Pennsylvania is always behind the times? After New York gets its medicinal program up and running, we will be the only northeast state without a compassionate medicinal cannabis program. No wonder bright young people leave our state and the good ole boys and girls remain to become our politicians.
If in a recent Pennlive poll, 80 percent of Pennsylvanians want a medicinal program. Why don&#8217;t we have one?
&#8226; Aggie95: The funny part is going to come when the taxpayer starts buying low-income people their dope to smoke &#8216;cause it&#8217;s now medicine, or &#8220;Obamacare&#8221; starts paying for it in those states where it&#8217;s legal and while throwing them in prison in other states for the same thing.
&#8226; DaveR55: Follow the money: The pizza and snack food lobby are all in on this. Once they legalize weed, be prepared for a Cheetos and Funyuns shortage beyond earthly comprehension.
