DALLAS &#8212; Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.The following is the menu for the week of June 15:MONDAY: Pork and bell peppers, steamed broccoli and carrots, whole wheat bread, brown rice, orange, milk and coffee.TUESDAY: Grilled chicken sandwich, tossed salad, Rosemary roasted potatoes, whole wheat sandwich roll, ranch dressing, vanilla ice cream, milk and coffee.WEDNESDAY: Crispy baked fish, steamed broccoli, scalloped potatoes, Melba toast, chocolate cake, milk and coffee.THURSDAY: Yankee pot roast with mixed vegetables, cream of broccoli soup, noodles, sliced apples, milk and coffee.FRIDAY: Father&#8217;s Day Special Lunch -Barbeque chicken breast, mashed red potatoes, corn on the cob, dinner roll, birthday cake, milk and coffee.
