Pittston Area’s John Fagotti pitches complete game, claims Ashby award

The District 2 boys tennis tournament season is set to be conducted over the next two weeks.Team competition gets underway Friday with the quarterfinal round of team play.There are six-team tournaments in both the combined District 2-4 Class AAA event and the District 2 Class AA event. Dallas is in a close race to try to land the sixth seed in Class AA during the final week of the regular season.The team tournament is scheduled to conclude May 2.District 2 singles play is set for May 7-8 with the doubles tournament scheduled for May 13-14.In both tournaments, the first day is used to narrow the field to the semifinalists. The second day features the semifinals and finals at a site that is determined once the participants are known.
