First Posted: 9/25/2014 It looks like the Wyoming Valley could get a dose of rain before a sunny weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 56 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Mostly cloudy skies created a gray morning for commuters.
Rain will be likely between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. today. A 60 percent chance of precipitation is predicted, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain possible. Today&#8217;s high will be in the lower 60s.
There will continue to be a chance of sprinkles before 9 p.m. tonight, with mostly cloudy skies becoming partly cloudy overnight. Patchy fog will also be possible after 5 a.m. Tonight&#8217;s low will be in the lower 50s.
Patchy fog will be possible until 10 a.m. on Friday &#8212; otherwise, sunny skies are expected. Temperatures are predicted to warm to the mid 50s. Clear skies will follow on Friday night, with a low in the lower 50s.
Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with the high surging to the upper 70s. Clear skies are also predicted for Saturday night, with a low in the upper 40s.
Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 80 degrees. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low in the mid 40s.
