First Posted: 9/4/2014 DICKSON CITY: Dickson City Cub Scout Pack 21, chartered by the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, is holding registration and an open house at LaSalle Academy Dickson City campus.
Registration will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, and an open house with registration will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25. Open house will offer information and fun events for the entire family.

HANOVER TWP.: Cub Scout Pack 66, Hanover Township, is conducting sign ups 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 18, at the American Legion Post 609, Lee Park Avenue and St. Mary&#8217;s Road. HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP) is offering free motorcycle safety classes for Pennsylvania residents. Class schedules are available online at www.pamsp.com.
Students who successfully complete the knowledge and the skills test through the PAMSP will receive a motorcycle license from PennDOT.
A motorcycle permit is needed in order to register for a class. Participants need to go to a PennDOT Driver License Center and obtain a motorcycle learner&#8217;s permit before registering for a class.
The Basic RiderCourse (BRC) is designed for novice riders who want to learn basic skills to operate a motorcycle safely. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. The Basic RiderCourse2 (BRC2) is available for experienced riders who want to improve their skills and increase safety. Students use their own motorcycles. Successful students can obtain their motorcycle license through either of the two programs offered.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY: Finishing the Fight is sending Halloween to deployed men and women in Afghanistan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Donations of Halloween treats, with the exception of chocolate, and handmade cards from children are being accepted. Donations can be made at the following locations until Oct. 6:
