First Posted: 7/31/2014 First Eucharist was celebrated on May 11 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary&#8217;s Church of the Immaculate Conception, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. The children were prepared at St. Mary&#8217;s School of Religious Education and at St. Nicholas-St. Mary Elementary School. The program was under the supervision of Sister Dolores M. Banick, director, religious education, St. Mary&#8217;s. The Rev. J. Duane Gavitt, pastor, celebrated the Mass of First Eucharist, which was followed by a May Crowning.
