PA Fish and Boat Commission to host free fly fishing event at Lackawanna State Park

NORTH ABINGTON TWP. &#8212; The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will provide a free Fly Fishing Introduction Course from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at Lackawanna State Park in North Abington Township. This course is designed for families interested in learning the basics of fly fishing equipment, casting techniques and water skills.The program will be hosted by the being hosted by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.Registration must be completed by 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 7 and can be done online at www.gonefishingpa.com under the family fishing program link. The program will be held rain or shine and participants should dress for outdoor weather.
