Suskie Bassmasters Wednesday Night River Series
Sept. 3 results (40 anglers - 70 percent weigh-in; Lynda Rosencrans reports the water temperature was still warm for the first week of September and the river level was only one foot on Wilkes-Barre&#8217;s gauge. The championship tournament is set for Sept. 28 and not only will the top 30 angler scompete, but additionally anyone who has fished in 10 of the 14 tournaments.)

PA Bass Casters Aug. 31 tournament on Lake Carey (Thirteen teams faced a windy, cool morning before rain hit. Club president Joe Kosloski reports that the rain did clear around noon and seven teams brought in a 5-fish limit while the others weighed in three to four. Creature baits, jigs and flipping in the pads and dropshotting were the top techniques.)

The Suskie Bassmasters host a Wednesday tournament each week on the Susquehanna River beginning June 18. Since Aug. 20 the tournaments are launching at 5:30 p.m. and running until 8:30 p.m. due to shorter days. Also, the www.TeamRosencrans.org/suskie.html link is no longer active. The Harveys Lake Wednesday Night Bass Tournament is held weekly, from June 18 to Sept. 10. The championship round will include the top 30 anglers based on total weight over 12 weeks and will be worth $1,200. The lunker tournament (each angler weighing one fish) will begin at 6 p.m. with weigh-in at 9 p.m. at the launch. Registration is at 4:30 p.m. Entry fee is $15 with a one-time $10 fee to be eligible for the championship round.
