WVC Softball All-Stars Announced

First Posted: 4/8/2014 Several members of Holy Redeemer High School&#8217;s speech and debate team won district titles at the Pennsylvania High School Speech League District 8 tournament held at Abington Heights High School. Their performances qualified them to advance to state competition at Susquehanna University. The team also placed third in districts. Ana Turosky and Thomas Caffrey were district champions in dramatic duo interpretation; Donald Stephens won the district championship in extemporaneous speaking; and Jerome Hannon placed as the district champion in humorous interpretation. Briana Scorey placed third in persuasive speaking and Maria Khoudary placed third in dramatic interpretation, qualifying them as alternates to the state tournament. Katarinah Solovey and Maddison Black placed fourth in dramatic duo interpretation. Holy Cross student Gannon Palmiter, who is coached by Holy Redeemer, also will compete at the state tournament in commentary.
