Letter to the Editor: Abandon pride and count on God during difficult circumstances, writer says

What value is there in being a citizen of this great country if the rights and privileges are given to anyone who enters our country legally or illegally?Why would we give these rights and privileges to them when they show no intention of performing the duties of citizenship, such as obeying the laws of our land, paying taxes and learning our native language? After all, the majority of them broke the law just to get here.As for the 100,000 or so children who were sent here, how many of them died or were abused on the way? Do you think that was an expression of love? How desperate are these people, really, when they can afford to pay up to $3,000 or more for illegal documentation?Dear Margarita M. Rose, I invite you to read the February issue of &#8220;Imprimis,&#8221; a publication of Hillsdale College (where, by the way, you have to understand our Constitution in order to graduate) and read what Heather MacDonald of the Manhattan Institute wrote about immigration.
