This letter is in reference to the April 22 &#8220;In Focus&#8221; column titled &#8220;Redeemer student speaks out on difficult topic.&#8221;In what convoluted mind would a cartoon character of absolutely no real-world significance become a symbol of perversion, molestation, rape, violence or the willing seduction of women?Does this tortured mind believe that America&#8217;s men think that violence against our revered mothers, precious wives, loved daughters and sisters and honored old aunties would be tolerated, normalized or expected &#8211; not to mention, your word, &#8220;condoned&#8221;?American men would die to protect the honor, safety and integrity of the women they love. I respect beyond all else the supreme importance of the women in my life and love them beyond all reason. You, dear girl, have made the subject of relationships between the sexes into a vulgar and demented joke. Young liberals must be warned sternly and repeatedly not to read the Bill Clinton memoir on the &#8220;world&#8217;s greatest debauchery&#8221; in your bookstore on limited viewing.And, innocent remarks and mindless touching are the essence of love, respect and conviviality between men and women.If this attitude and lack of rational thought is something learned in our schools, then schools are not teaching kids, they are indoctrinating them in the manifest failure of the left.Tom RogersHarveys Lake
