MAN ON THE STREET: ‘What is the best thing about being a mom?’

DALLAS &#8212; Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.The following is the menu for the week of May 11:MONDAY: Spaghetti and meatballs, garden salad, steamed garlic spinach, breadstick, fruit sorbet, margarine, milk and coffee.TUESDAY: Bag lunchWEDNESDAY: 90s Birthday Special Lunch - Chicken cacciatore, rice pilaf, California blend vegetables, tossed salad with apple cider dressing, dinner roll, fresh fruit salad, margarine, milk and coffee.THURSDAY: Meatloaf, green and wax beans, mashed potatoes, Melba toast, sugar cookie, margarine, milk and coffee.FRIDAY: Pork and bell peppers, steamed broccoli and carrots, whole wheat bread, brown rice, birthday cake, margarine, milk and coffee.
