WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Kingston man will spend up to four and a half years in state prison on drug charges.Patrick Caudle, 48, was sentenced Thursday before Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough on three counts of heroin delivery and one count of indecent exposure. Court records indicate Caudle pleaded guilty to the charges in January.Vough sentenced the man to serve a term of 27 to 54 months in a state correctional institution, giving him credit for 572 days already served, court papers say.Caudle was remanded following his hearing Thursday morning.According to a set of criminal complaints, Caudle sold heroin to confidential police informants on three separate occasions in July and August of 2012.He must pay back $452 to state police for laboratory work and $140 to the state Office of Attorney General for buy money, court papers say.Caudle&#8217;s indecent exposure charge stems from a February 2014 incident in which a surveillance camera caught Caudle and a woman engaged in a sex act inside an elevator at the Intermodal Transportation Facility in Wilkes-Barre, police say.According to a criminal complaint, the 12-minute encounter took place just before 1 p.m. Feb. 7, 2014.When shown a still image of the encounter the next day, police say Caudle responded, &#8220;It is what it is.&#8221;The officer then asked Caudle what he meant by that, and he replied, &#8220;It was easy access,&#8221; police say. Caudle said he knew the woman as Robin.
