Summit University celebrates first graduating class under the school’s new name and university status

<p>A hot and sunny weekend is forecast for the Wyoming Valley, but the area could see some thunderstorms today.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 74 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 95.</p><p>Partly cloudy skies will carry into tonight, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is forecast, and the low will be around 70.</p><p>Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 92. Mostly clear skies will carry into Saturday night, with a low about 63.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend Sunday, with a high near 91.
