DALLAS TWP. &#8212; The latest Dallas/Lake-Lehman softball game again went into the final inning tied.And, just as was the case earlier this year, Dallas came out on top.This time, the game came down to the final out before the Mountaineers pulled out a 1-0, home-field victory Monday.Dallas won at Lake-Lehman in April with seven runs in the seventh for a 16-9 victory.Pitching ruled the rematch.Maddie Kelley threw a four-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and no walks to get the win.Abbey Hogan allowed only an unearned run on six hits while striking out eight and walking one for Lake-Lehman.Dallas broke the scoreless tie with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning.Talia Szatkowski raced home when a hard-hit groundball by Sydney Kern led to an infield error.Szatkowski and Kylee Saba got the winning rally started with singles.Saba, who was 2-for-4 with a double, was the only player in the game with more than one hit and also had the only extra-base hit.Dallas finished fourth of five teams in Division 2 of the Wyoming Valley Conference. The Mountaineers were 7-6 heading into their final regular-season game.Lake-Lehman was last in the division, finishing 2-12.
