WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Pittston man was sentenced to just less than a year in prison after pleading guilty in Luzerne County Court to endangering children.Allan Williams, 35, of Union Street, entered his plea Thursday before Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr., court documents indicate.Court papers say Williams admitted to three felony counts of endangering the welfare of children and a summary count of driving with a suspended license in one case, and a misdemeanor retail theft charge in another.Sklarosky sentenced the man to serve one year less one day to two years less two days, court papers say, to be followed by one year of probation.Court papers say Williams must pay a $1,000 fine and make $185.89 restitution to Price Chopper.According to a criminal complaint, Larksville police in August pulled over Williams who was driving a car traveling with two other men as well as three children who were not properly fastened in the vehicle.Police say the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run a half hour prior to being stopped.One of the vehicle&#8217;s passengers, Brandon Trombly, allegedly told police the men were on their way to Plymouth to purchase heroin.
