All three Wyoming Valley Conference graduates contributed to the scoring Saturday morning when the United States won for the second time in as many matches, 4-1, over South Africa at the Women&#8217;s Hockey World League Semifinals in Valencia, Spain.Kat Sharkey scored for the second straight game to help the U.S. women&#8217;s field hockey team improve to 2-0 at the event where the top three in the 10-team field will qualify for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.Paige Selenski assisted Sharkey&#8217;s goal and also had the insert that started a penalty corner to produce the tying goal late in the first half. Kelsey Kolojejchick assisted the goal that closed the scoring.Selenski, a Dallas graduate and 2012 Olympian, worked free on the left side and sent a cross to Sharkey all alone at the far post for a 3-1 lead.In the game&#8217;s final two minutes, Kolojejchick made a similar play along the goal line on the right side to set up a goal.Sharkey, from Moosic, and Kolojejchick, from Larksville, are Wyoming Seminary graduates.The United States plays Germany Sunday.
