EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, in St. Anthony&#8217;s Center. Hosts and hostesses are Maureen Gosart, Ron Gosart, Johana Malinowski and Vic Malinowski.At the previous meeting, 48 members and two guests were in attendance and Jean Linskey and Lenore Maffei were welcomed as new members.The 50-50 winners were Theresa Blasavage, Olga Costello, Tony Matreselva, Frances Paluski and Marge Zinkavich. Amy Alpaugh and Antoinette Manganello shared the special game prize and the winner of the jackpot prize was Irene Parini.Trips are scheduled to Hollywood Casino on Wednesday, June 17, and Sands Casino on Thursday, July 16. Pick ups are in Exeter and Pittston. Non members welcome on trips. The Lions Club sold food and Ron Jackson provided instrumental music. This will be an annual event on the first weekend of June.The center will have blood pressure screenings by Joan Krispin, licensed practical nurse and admissions director from the Meadows, 12:20-12:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. The center will have a special Father&#8217;s Day lunch and recognition of June birthdays on Friday, June 19. Farmers market vouchers will be distributed 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24.A vocal concert with George Rittenhouse will be held 10:45-11:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 25. The 100th birthday of Helen Dietrich will be celebrated after the concert. All are invited to attend.PLAINS TWP: Plains Senior Citizens Project Head held its meeting on Wednesday, June 3, at The Bernardine Hall, formerly SS. Peter and Paul. Lou Zack was welcomed as a new member.Reservations are still being taken for the trip to Woodlock Pines on Sunday, Aug. 9. Anyone wishing to make the trip can call Mike at 579-823-2871. The seniors are having their summer picnic noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at the Plains Lion Pavilion.
