First Posted: 3/4/2015 It looks like the Wyoming Valley is set to get another dose of mixed precipitation today and into tonight.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 32 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Some mixed drizzle continued to fall this morning, adding to the already-messy roadways.
Most school districts and colleges in Luzerne County opted to <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local-news/152169092/" target="_blank">delay</a> the start of classes this morning.
There will be a chance of rain before 3 p.m. today, followed by a chance of rain and snow. A 50 percent chance of precipitation is predicted, but little or snow accumulation is expected. Cloudy skies are expected otherwise, with a high today near 37 degrees,
Rain and snow will be likely before 2 a.m. tonight, followed by snow overnight. An 80 percent chance of snow is predicted, and up to 2 inches of snow could fall. Tonight&#8217;s low will be near 17 degrees.
Snow will continue to be likely before 1 p.m. on Thursday, with cloudy skies predicted otherwise. A 60 percent chance of snow is predicted, and around an inch of snow could fall. Thursday&#8217;s high will be near 18 degrees.
Mostly cloudy skies will become mostly clear on Thursday night, with a low around 3 degrees. The wind chill values could drop to as low as -8 degrees.
Sunny skies will return to the Wyoming Valley on Friday, with a high near 23 degrees. Partly cloudy skies will follow on Friday night, with a low around 12 degrees.
