WVC boys basketball was season of transition

DALLAS &#8212; Borough Manager Tracey Carr announced at Monday&#8217;s council meeting that registrations are still being accepted for the borough&#8217;s summer recreation program at the Kenneth Young Memorial Park on Burndale Road.The program runs through Aug. 14 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.The program &#8212; which includes sports, games, art and crafts &#8212; is open to borough children between the ages of 6 and 12. Due to a pledged contribution from Dallas Township, up to 100 children from that municipality are also permitted to attend the program.Carr also noted that the borough&#8217;s yard waste collection program is currently underway. Residents must purchase a $25 annual permit to participate.The council also:&#183; Authorized payment in the amount of $19,797 to Quad Three Group Inc. for professional services through April 30, 2015, on the borough&#8217;s Downtown Master Plan and authorized Carr to seek a Local Share Account grant reimbursement for the expense.&#183; Approved a resolution authorizing the execution of a Roundabout Maintenance Agreement between the state Department of Transportation and the borough.The council&#8217;s next work session will be held at 7 p.m. July 13, and the regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on July 15.
