Area makes change in district Little League playoff format

First Posted: 4/22/2014 WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The death of a 2 1/2 month old boy in Nanticoke in February was ruled a homicide by the Luzerne County Coroner&#8217;s Office earlier this month.
An autopsy by forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross found Jaxon Eckrote died from asphyxiation.
Nanticoke police were dispatched to the rear of 340 E. Noble St. at 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 14 to investigate the death of an infant, who was found in a chair.
Two adults were inside the residence when police arrived.
Luzerne County detectives are assisting in the investigation.
The cause and manner of death became final on April 8 by the coroner&#8217;s office.
No charges have been filed.
