Luzerne County prison guards suspended for drug ring involvement

First Posted: 5/8/2014 TUNKHANNOCK TWP. &#8212; The body of a man found along Tunkhannock Creek on Wednesday was identified as Michael Edward Nourse, 54, of Dalton, state police at Tunkhannock said Thursday.
Nourse was reported missing by his family on April 15 when he had not been seen or heard from a day after launched a canoe into Tunkhannock Creek in the Little Rockey Glen recreation area in Clinton Township. Nourse told his family and friends he wanted to take a trip down the Susquehanna River for five or six days.
Nourse&#8217;s body was found near the shoreline of Tunkhannock Creek by people riding ATVs in the area on Wednesday.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross examined the body ruling Nourse died from drowning and hypothermia. Nourse&#8217;s body was identified by dental records, state police said.
