WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Larksville man faked being held captive and demanded a ransom in an attempt to get money from family members to buy drugs, police said.Anthony Klem, 26, was later arrested Friday, police said.According to police: Klem called family members claiming he was held against his will until money was paid for a debt he owed a drug dealer. Klem&#8217;s family then contacted police for assistance. However, police determined Klem&#8217;s claim was bogus and that he was attempting to get money to buy narcotics. He was located at approximately 6 p.m. on Horton Street and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.Charges will be filed with District Judge Rick Cronauer, police said.
