Jaron Long (3-3) tossed a career-best 7.2 innings on the front end as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders defeated the Pawtucket Red Sox 2-0 on Memorial Day.SWB (23-23) picked up its fourth shutout of the year while Pawtucket (24-22) received its fifth blanking of 2015.Long did not allow a base runner until Jackie Bradley Jr. walked to begin the fourth. A double play thereafter meant he had still faced the minimum before Travis Shaw bunted for a hit, the first allowed by Long, with one out in the fifth.In his ninth start of the season, Long allowed three hits, walked three and whiffed four on 97 pitches (63 strikes).Long&#8217;s caused by aided by center fielder Mason Williams&#8217; run-scoring single in the second and Nick Noonan&#8217;s sac fly in the seventh.
