First Posted: 9/3/2014 UNION TWP. &#8212; Northwest Area School District Acting Superintendent Betsy Ellis confirmed an internal investigation was launched Tuesday following the report of an &#8220;incident,&#8221; but declined to give more information.
Ellis said she is in the process of gathering data, but that it is too early to say anything further.
&#8220;Following district policy, because it involves personnel and other people, I&#8217;m not going to comment further,&#8221; Ellis said.
Ellis is the retired former administrative director at West Side Career and Technology Center. She is filling in as superintendent at Northwest Area while the School Board conducts a search for a replacement of Ronald Grevera, who stepped down from the post this summer to take the same job at Greater Nanticoke Area School District.
