I cannot believe how stupid this country is getting about politics. We keep voting in these phonies who vote against the working man all the time.The Republican-led House of Representatives recently passed a bill to give the rich a $269 billion tax cut. All the Republicans voted for it and all the Democrats voted against it.They claim there isn&#8217;t enough money to help the poor people who need help because they don&#8217;t make enough to support their families from their minimum-wage jobs, but they can give a tax break to the rich who have more than they can spend already. It&#8217;s like Ted Kennedy said, &#8220;Where does the greed stop?&#8221;The Republicans want to cut Social Security, Medicare and all social programs. They want to privatize everything so their rich donors can get their hands on our money. I truly believe they are testing the waters to see how many stupid people are out there who will vote for them. That&#8217;s why the Republicans are against funding education.How many of you die-hard working Republicans want to see us get into another war? I just wish there was a law that said all lawmakers would have to take a tour of veterans hospitals and look at footage of battle scenes before they vote to take us to war. Most Republican senators are either draft dodgers or never volunteered. Look it up, if you don&#8217;t believe me.The only thing the working man has is his vote, so use it wisely. The Republicans are trying to take that away too.I just read about another of the Republicans&#8217; favorite topics intended to turn people to vote for them: illegal immigrants. Sorry, but they do pay taxes: $11.8 billion last year. That&#8217;s probably more than the rich collectively paid.Dale EastmanMeshoppen
