YATESVILLE &#8212; Sal Argo is a 1993 graduate of Pittston Area. Along with his mom, Sharon, who is the owner of Sports Fever at the Viewmont Mall in Scranton, the duo wanted to do something different.For the past six years, Sports Fever has been hosting professional athlete autograph signings at the store in the Viewmont Mall. Notably, the store <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/sports/50946001/Giants-Beckham-Jr.-to-appear-in-Scranton" target="_blank">recently hosted New York Giant wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.</a>But now, those professional athletes will be coming to Pittston Area High School.Eight current and former New York Giant football players will be on hand for a Pros vs. Joes charity basketball game at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 at the Pittston Area gymnasium.A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.&#8220;Instead of doing a regular signing at the store we decided to have a basketball game &#8212; something different,&#8221; Sal Argo said. &#8220;People wait in line for hours at our store and get to see the player for 30 seconds. This way they&#8217;ll see them do something out of their element and uniform.&#8221;Players scheduled to be on hand at the game will be 2015 first round pick Ereck Flowers, an offensive lineman from the University of Miami; second round pick Landon Collins, a safety from Alabama; tight end Larry Donnell; and defensive end Damontre Moore. Other players present will be Bennett Jackson, Nate Behre and Bobby Hart.The Giants will be coached by 1990 Super Bowl Champion Stephen Baker.The game will consist of two 15-minute halves against Greater Pittston personalities. Following the game, there will be a short intermission.Following the intermission, there will be a meet-and-greet and autograph session with the players. Autographs for Flowers, Collins, Donnell and Moore are $30 each. Jackson, Behre, Hart and Baker are $20 each. Photo opportunities will be $10 each. There is a package price for all eight players&#8217; autographs for $150.Tickets for autographs can be purchased by calling 570-881-4814 or at Sports Fever.Tickets just for the game will be $15 and can be purchased at Savo&#8217;s Pizza in Pittston or The Avenue Diner in Exeter. Autograph tickets can also be purchased the day of the event.Along with the game and autograph session, Sports Fever will be holding a Silent Auction with different kinds of sports memorabilia. Proceeds from the auction will also benefit Make-A-Wish. The Pittston Area Booster Club will sell food and beverages throughout the game.&#8220;I chose Pittston Area because it&#8217;s my alma mater,&#8221; Sal Argo said. &#8220;It&#8217;s a nice facility and the parking is great. The school can benefit from it. I would have loved to see NFL players when I was in high school.&#8221;Sports Fever is still looking for donations and participants for the event.
