First Posted: 7/28/2014 A storm system north of the Wyoming Valley traveling east will keep most of the region under clouds today.
Lingering rain is expected to pick up in the early afternoon and begin tapering off around 6 this evening, though much of Pennsylvania will remain cooler than normal, according to the National Weather Service.
Looking ahead, the service is calling for a on-and-off clouds and showers throughout the week.
Tuesday looks mostly sunny, with light winds and a high near 74. Clouds are expected to gather Tuesday night and bring a chance for showers and slightly warmer temperatures on Wednesday.
The service predicts a mostly-sunny Thursday with highs near 80 degrees; same for Friday.
Clouds, rain and cooler temps could return Saturday with a chance for thunderstorms on each day.
