First Posted: 5/13/2014 SCRANTON &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre woman who admitted to tampering with a bottle of children&#8217;s chewable Advil tablets was sentenced today in federal court.
Yolanda Holman was sentenced to 26 months in federal prison, plus two years supervised release. She was ordered to report to prison on or before June 16. Federal prosecutors said Holman purchased children&#8217;s Advil tablets from the Rite-Aid pharmacy in Wilkes-Barre Township on September 11.
Holman removed the children&#8217;s pills and replaced them with muscle relaxers and iron pills, then had her daughter return the bottle for a refund at the Rite-Aid pharmacy on East Northampton Street in Wilkes-Barre. Holman apologized in court, saying she needed the money for gasoline to take one of her children to a doctor.
