First Posted: 9/13/2014 It felt a lot like autumn in the Wyoming Valley this morning, and that trend is going to stick around well into next week.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 54 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. Overcast skies lingered overhead this morning, with just enough sunshine peeking through to create red hues on the clouds.
Those red skies are fitting, as it looks like it is going to be a rainy day.
Showers are expected before 4 p.m. today. An 80 percent chance of rain is predicted, and up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible. Today&#8217;s high will be in the mid 60s.
There will be a chance of showers before 7 p.m. tonight &#8212; otherwise, mostly cloudy skies are expected, with a low in the upper 40s.
Sunny skies round out the weekend on Sunday, but the high will only be in the upper 60s. Clear skies will follow on Sunday night, with a low in the upper 40s.
Sunny skies will kick off the new work and school week on Monday, with a high near 70 degrees. There will be a 50 percent chance for showers on Monday night, with a low in the lower 50s.
