D2 grad making most of debut

First Posted: 1/27/2014 WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre woman is facing aggravated assault charges after she allegedly pointed a handgun at two men, including a police officer, during a domestic dispute.
Officers tried to break up an argument between Quanita Clark, 26, and Shalal Graham around 11:30 p.m. Sunday in a Sherman Hills apartment when Clark raised a silver .380-caliber gun at the officer and Graham.
According to a police affidavit:
Police arrived at building 308 in the apartment complex to investigate a noise complaint. They found the door to Devenee Williams&#8217; apartment was open and loud voices coming from inside.
Williams met the officers at the door and directed them to the rear of the apartment, where officers found Graham yelling at Clark, who was in the bathroom.
One officer took Graham by the arm and pulled him away from the door and then discovered Clark was pointing the gun at them.
The officer repeatedly ordered Clark to put down the gun. She slowly lowered it, finally putting it in the sink, allowing the officer to arrest her.
The situation escalated when neighbors from across the hall went into Williams&#8217; apartment and ignored police commands to leave. Graham continued to shout at Clark even as officers gathered her information, which prompted officers to take him into custody.
Graham was charged with disorderly conduct and released from Wilkes-Barre police headquarters.
Clark was charged with one felony count of aggravated assault and lesser charges of disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats. She was jailed for lack of $25,000 bail.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Feb. 6.
